The top image is another taken from the many street photographs by Henri Cartier-Bresson on the streets of France. The image below that is one of mine, taken at a local country club of a golfer admiring his shot. Both of these photographs are comprised not of there originality or sophistication, but their immortalization of distinct and brief characteristics. In Bressons photo, the man is caught pausing only for a moment as he goes about his day, with everything from his dress to his cigarette depicting an air of wealth and hierarchy. My photo captures this same air of wealth and leisure only in a different time and place. It is the physical characteristics of these gentleman that give the images substance.
