"Dark Matter" by David Rehor, found on tinyvices.com. The silhouette's stance appears a bit menacing, especially lacking a clear view of the face of this darkened figure emerging from light. I'm so curious about what material was used to create the glowing scene. The reflective floor is another interest point. I was inspired to create my own scene.
This is a very distorted photograph from my series. Everything is out of focus because of the unbalanced field of depth. The lights look like the leftovers of hole-punchers scattered on the wall. Instead of a menacing stance, I used more classical poses, because otherwise it was difficult to distinguish the human figure at all. The original is a color photo, but the gray-scale promotes more focus on the person rather than the lights.
I edited the color of these lights because the scene now reminds me of a rave, and I find it amusing that the subject is recreating a classical dance pose. The figure is more of a silhouette, and the setting becomes a bigger focal point.
This shot was taken accidentally, but mood-wise, this reminds me the most of the original inspiring photograph. The face is half lit, hiding the eyes. The fierce lighting and shadows playing on the face makes the photograph more menacing than the previous two.
These look really cool!!!
