The photo on the left is one that I took at the Jenkintown train station, whereas the one on the right is a picture I found at yorkstories.co.uk (taken in August 2004, author-less). I chose the picture on the right after taking my picture. Compositionally, they both share a very similar subject matter; the tunnel, the lone stranger, the inability to perceive the face of the person being photographed, the gradual funnel leading us to an exit. Both also share a theme of isolation and introspection, as they lead us to question where this stranger is headed, why, and to what avail.
